Each butterfly is rendered in the tradition of scientific field study: drawn, annotated, and signed. When you buy from the studio you're buying a piece of original art, printed on archival stock and shipped with intention.
Every piece begins as a hand-drawn field study, annotated in the artist's own hand and finished with her naturalist corner ticks.
The four studies
Mariposas del Perú — Andean species annotated in the artist's hand: Cramer's 88 in holographic foil, with more studies on the drawing table.
Papillons de Louisiana — Swallowtails of the Gulf South, the Serville and the Zebra, on paper, embroidered caps, and cases.
The Pelican State — The Louisiana study: greeting cards, carryall totes, postcards, and stickers with the signature corner ticks.
